May is National Physical Fitness & Sports Month

Did you know May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month? Physical activity can lower the risk of falls and improve cognitive functioning (like learning and judgment skills) in older adults. There are many fun ways to get moving. Our favorite is parkour! Seniors 55+ can join us at 10am on Tuesday at Hume Springs Park and/or Wednesday at Ft. Ward Park for fun, low-impact group exercise that will improve balance and build strength in your body and mind! Classes are FREE, but we appreciate donations… think of all the money you will save because you won’t need to have “work done.” 🙂
