We just received this message from Senior Services of Alexandria:
Due to poor park conditions and the continued threat of scattered thunderstorms, the Robust Walkathon scheduled for tomorrow, September 18, has been postponed. Once a new date is confirmed, we will send this information out to you and hope that everyone will still be available to participate. Please pass this information along to anyone you know who may have intended to come out to the park tomorrow.

Individual creativity is a key aspect of parkour. We hope you will pop into St. Elmo’s and check out “GLOW” before its gone at the end of this month. Want an amazing team-building project or art activity for your group? Contact us for your own “GLOW” parkour-light painting photo shoot!
Throughout the time of human existence on this earth, movement, specifically dance, has given communities (and the individuals who form them) a medium of expression and connection between mind, body, and spirit. This “movement connection” allows for exploration, healing, and inspiration to take place.
PK Silver, our parkour class for people 50+, offered a winter class “Light Movement” to generate these opportunities for our participants. Our goal was to use parkour-based movement and conditioning in combination with imagination to explore life and art, ultimately providing a catalyst for renewing resources of physical strength and spiritual inspiration in their daily lives.
