PK Move’s Ninja Reading Hour was amazing! We were excited to welcome 10 children and 7 adults for this interactive, movement-inspired literacy event which included songs, Story Time, ninja movement and parkour culture.
Favorite quote: “My son is very shy. I have never seen him get this excited and participate in a reading program before. He loved it!”
Many thanks to St Elmo’s Coffee Pub for hosting us. We’ll see you next month for more ninja magic!
Many thanks to the Zebra Press for mentioning PK Silver in their senior living section! PK Silver is our parkour class for folks over 50. Join us on Monday, 10-11am at Hume Spring Park and Wednesday, 10-11am at Fort Ward Park Amphitheater. Please visit our website www.pkmove.org for exact calendar, more info or to register.
PK Silver is our parkour class for people over 50. Today’s obstacle course included pumpkins, witch brooms, low tic tacs, a modified Italian Job, climbing up the cargo netting like a spider, and creepy catch falls among other SCARY things!
Stocking up the bathroom supplies resulted in a toilet paper balance challenge. At PKMove,
we believe the joy of movement (pun intended) should be inherent to daily living. How many rolls can you walk with balanced on your head? Don’t forget to hashtag #toiletpaperbalancechallenge and please follow us on Instagram @pkmove for more photos of our activities!
We are pleased to announce that PKMove is officially partnered with the City of Alexandria through the Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities to offer PK Silver, a parkour-based fitness program for seniors 55+!
